Jason D. Bennett – Counsel
Jason is senior regulatory and governance counsel with over 20 years’ experience in professional regulation, management, discipline and strategy. An expert in board governance and policy, Jason brings a strategic and thoughtful approach to every legal scenario. Having held senior leadership positions as Director of Policy, Governance and Tribunals and Director of Governance with the Ontario College of Teachers, Jason provided legal and executive support to the Registrar’s Office, led professional discipline prosecution teams, and coordinated College and Ministry staff on a range of projects. He is also a passionate and effective litigator, having worked at major Bay Street firms earlier in his career.
Education
Jason graduated from Queen’s University in 1995 with a B.A.(Hons), and received his LL.B. from Queen’s University in 2001. Jason was called to the bar in Ontario in 2002.
